The Russian LGBT network is an interregional non-governmental organization that promotes equal rights and respect for human dignity, regardless of sexual orientation and gender identity, by combining and developing regional initiatives and providing social and legal services.

Aims and objectives: 

Our mission is to transform the movement for equality into an influential social force without discrimination of sexual orientation and gender identity and to build a society in Russia without discrimination and segregation.

Main activities:

The LGBT network:

• regularly monitors violations of rights and discrimination of representatives of the LGBT community;

• has achieved official investigation of the facts of police arbitrariness in relation to gay clubs in Russian cities;

• conducts a campaign for the state recognition of LGBT organizations. The first success was the official registration in St. Petersburg of the LGBT organization "Exit".

• conducts regular information campaigns ("Week against homophobia", etc.);

• organizes seminars for various professional groups;

• publishes brochures and other informational materials;

• distributes information through online publications, print and electronic media.
